The Discipleship Path

At Cornerstone we are Following Jesus and Showing Others the Way.  Our greatest goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

We believe this can happen when we involve ourselves in activities that meet our relational and maturity needs.  At Cornerstone our Discipleship Path includes these main elements:

Celebration Service:  Our Sunday morning Worship Service meets our need for unity with other believers and worship of our God and Jesus Christ in a large group.  In the large group we can gain a sense of group identity and be mobilized for action.  This is our biggest point of entry to those interested in knowing more about Jesus.

The Sunday School:  Our Sunday School classes are medium sized open groups where the Bible is taught, where we can develop friends, and where caring and concern for each other is experienced.  As we come to know each other, we pray for each other and invite others to join us.

Home Groups:  Our Home Groups are small groups that meet to study and share.  We develop closeness in these groups that is helpful as we support each other in our growth as disciples of Jesus.

Service, Tasks and Ministry Groups:  As we mature in Christ we realize that we have a lot to offer others whether inside or outside the Church.  We show our love of others as we serve in the name of Jesus Christ.  These activities also introduce interested people to Cornerstone and ultimately, we hope, to Christ.
